Hosting & Website Care

Keep the Website Running. Keep the Scope Clear.

I handle managed hosting, routine maintenance, backups, and checks for business websites. You get a defined care plan and someone who understands the site, without turning every update into your next project.

A Website Still Needs Looking After Once It Is Live

Hosting, certificates, backups, platform updates, and routine checks do not become less important because the launch is finished. They just become easier to forget.

I offer care for businesses that want someone familiar with the website keeping an eye on the routine technical side. The scope is agreed, the responsibilities are clear, and new work does not disappear into the phrase ongoing support.

If you have a site already, I review its platform and condition before confirming whether I can take over care. A site with an existing fault may need a separately scoped repair first.

What Website Care Covers

Hosting and SSL

Managed hosting and the secure connection for the agreed site. Moving from another host needs a review of the setup, access, and any migration work before the move is confirmed.

Backups and Updates

Routine backups and applicable platform updates. The setup depends on the website and host; backup arrangements and responsibilities are part of the agreed care scope.

Routine Checks

Basic security, uptime, performance, and monthly site-health checks, plus basic hosting support. Monitoring helps spot issues; it is not a promise that a website can never fail.

Know what is included

Maintenance Is Not Unlimited Website Work

Website Care covers managed hosting and routine maintenance. It does not include unlimited content edits, design changes, new pages, or new features.

That distinction keeps the arrangement understandable. If you need service details changed, a landing page added, or a form rebuilt, I can quote that work. You know what the care plan covers and what the new job costs.

Current inclusions and monthly starting ranges are on the care pricing section. That page remains the place for the numbers.

Care with search monitoring

Search Care Adds Oversight of How the Site Is Being Found

Search Care includes Website Care plus monthly SEO health checks, Search Console and analytics review, indexing and broken-link checks, metadata and keyword-movement spot checks, and a Google Business Profile check where applicable.

It adds practical recommendations. It is not the same as a full ongoing SEO campaign, and it does not mean every finding includes a rewrite or development job.

When you need active content improvements, technical changes, and a search plan carried forward, ongoing SEO work is the separate service to discuss.

Start with the setup

Taking Over an Existing Website

Before moving hosting or accepting ongoing care, I need to understand the platform, access, current backup arrangements, and any known problems. The domain and any email connected to it need attention too; a hosting move should not casually break another part of the business.

I explain any setup or migration work before it happens. The domain, content, and finished files remain yours. If you move on later, I can hand over the website and explain the setup.

A larger change to the site itself belongs under website redesign. Care keeps a suitable site maintained; it does not quietly replace it.

When Something Needs Attention

Send the symptom and the affected URL. I work out whether it falls inside routine hosting support or needs a separate repair scope. I do not promise 24-hour response or unlimited development through a care plan.

If you only need a specific fault fixed, website support is a better starting point. You do not need to buy monthly care to ask for a one-off job.

Questions

Hosting & Website Care FAQ

Does care include unlimited changes?

No. Content edits, design changes, new pages, and features are quoted separately. Care covers the routine scope on the pricing page.

Can you take care of an existing website?

Possibly. I review the platform, condition, access, and hosting first. Setup work or existing faults may need a separate scope.

What is the difference between Website Care and Search Care?

Search Care adds SEO checks, search-data review, and recommendations to Website Care. Active ongoing improvement work is a separate SEO service.

Will you move my hosting?

I can review a proposed move. The current setup, domain, email, platform, and access determine the migration work, which is agreed before a change.

Do you guarantee uptime or security?

No website can be promised permanent uptime or freedom from security issues. The plan includes the listed routine checks and maintenance; response and additional work follow the agreed scope.

Can I move the website later?

Yes. Your domain, content, and finished website files remain yours. I can hand over the site if you move on.

The Website Should Not Become Another Forgotten Job.

Tell me what is running now and who looks after it. I will explain whether care is a good fit.
